Quickly Adding a Series of Tasks To Projects

Summary: Favorite a “Quick Task Lists” story inside a program, or create a desktop / bookmark shortcut that opens straight to its Subtasks tab — the lightest way to enter many tasks without the full workspace.

What it is

A Runcible instance can hold tens, hundreds, or thousands of projects. When you repeatedly add tasks to the same place, give yourself a Favorites entry or a browser shortcut so capture stays one click away.

How to — Create a Favorite

  1. Search for your program and open it.
  2. Create a project called Quick Task Lists.
  3. Create a story inside it (for example, My Quick Tasks for This Project).
  4. Open the new story and click the Favorites button.
  5. In the Main Menu → Top → Favorites, find the new favorite and drag it where you want it in the list.

Try it:

  1. Select the favorite — it opens in a sliding page.
  2. Open the Subtasks tab.
  3. Start entering tasks.

How to — Create a shortcut

You can open a task page without the workspace.

  1. Search for your program and open it.
  2. Create a Quick Task Lists project and a story as above.
  3. Open the story.
  4. Select Open in New Tab — Runcible opens the story in a new tab/window.
  5. Select the Subtasks tab.
  6. Either drag the URL to your desktop (OS shortcut) or save it as a browser bookmark.

Try it: open the shortcut — Runcible shows the story on the Subtasks tab.

A shortcut is the fastest, lightest way to reach Runcible pages. Some people work almost exclusively with pages and without the workspace — Runcible is designed for that.
