What Are People? They’re Users.
They're Runcible Users in your Organization.
Tip: People (Users) are a Basic feature. Everyone will use them.
What Actions Can I Perform on the People Panel?
- Open The User’s Profile Double click on the person’s name.
Chat with one person
- Right-click the person and choose Chat, or
- Single-click the person’s image (avatar shortcut).
- A private chat window opens at the bottom of your workspace.
- Your chat history is on your Profile Page → Chats tab.
Start a group chat
- Select two or more people (hold CTRL/CMD while selecting).
- Right-click one of the selected people.
- Choose Start group chat.
- A private group chat window opens at the bottom of your workspace.
- You can invite more people into an open chat later.
Tip: Use the circled ? in the panel header (left of reload/close) to show or hide this panel’s short tip and open the full help topic. Right-click is the discoverable way to start a chat: one person → Chat; two or more selected → Start group chat.
How do I add a User to the People Panel?
To add a user to your People Panel
- Search for the user
- Click on the user’s card to open his or her profile.
- In the button bar, select “Subscribe”.
Note: for the beta period, all your organization’s users will be visible in the People Panel.
What Filters Can I Use?
You cannot filter the People Panel.
What Right-Click Menu Choices are Available?
- Chat — when one person is the target (one selected, or you right-click someone outside a multi-select).
- Start group chat — when two or more people are selected and you right-click one of them.
What Does the Green or Grey Dot Mean?
If the user is active, the dot is green. If not active, then it will be grey.
Can I Drop Tasks on People?
Not on the People panel, no.
